Seeing a long, dark tunnel with a light coming towards you as you die is actually surprisingly rare, according to a study of more than 1,000 people who ‘died’.

Sadly, so is seeing a kindly old man playing a harp on a cloud.

Around half of the patients recalled something from their time in cardiac arrest – but many of these experiences are frightening, or involve memories of real events (from a time when the person is supposedly dead).

The researchers, from the University of Southampton, studied 2,060 patients who had been through cardiac arrest, and then come back.

Dr Sam Parnia said that in one case, researchers were able to verify that a patient had recalled real events after their heart had stopped.

Several patients remembered real events from the operating theatre after they had ‘died’.

Dr Parnia said: ‘This is significant, since it has often been assumed that experiences in relation to death are likely hallucinations or illusions, occurring either before the heart stops or after the heart has been successfully restarted, but not an experience corresponding with ‘real’ events when the heart isn’t beating.

‘I experienced a sense of De-ja vu and felt like knew what people were going to do before they did it after the arrest. This lasted about 3 days.’

According to many researchers and the ancient astronaut theory, the mysterious cave paintings of Tassili, could prove to be the best evidence of extraterrestrial beings present on Earth in the distant past. Through these paintings, researchers speculate that the Sahara region was completely different 4000-6000 yeas ago; it was a region overflowed with life.

According to researchers, the cave paintings of Tassili, are one of the most important ancient collections of rock art known today; regrettably, only 20% of them remain visible as the majority of these incredible cave paintings have been destroyed by erosion. Experts believe the cave paintings to be between 10,000 and 15,000 years old. Experts suggest that cave paintings of that time were usually done with a single shade of color, the Tassili cave paintings however used several colors which makes them even more special to history. There are countless species depicted in the caves; among them are giraffes, ostriches, elephants, oxen, alligators and even hippos; demonstrating that the Sahara region was full of life in the distant past.

There are many interesting details about the cave paintings of Tassili, nomadic people assert that these caves are an ideal living environment even today. According to the depictions, rivers, jungles, animals and numbers plants were not foreign to the area, experts suggest that they might have been located in the vicinity of the caves. The painting also seem to reflect a pattern of occupation in the caves with different activities performed by the ancients in specific historical periods. Hunting and Fishing around 7000 BC, animal husbandry around 4,000 BC and horse domestication around 1.500 BC.

There are numerous mysterious surrounding the ancient inhabitants of the Tassili caves. Archaeologists have not been able to find burial sites in the area, but the most incredible feature are perhaps the mysterious depictions of strange beings with helmets and suits, resembling modern-day astronauts according to many researchers.

These mysterious depictions have fueled debate among researchers. Why would they depict ; rivers, jungles and animals native to the region in the past, and then depict something that they did not see (according to mainstream archaeology): the strange humanoid figures with helmets and suits? The ancient people of the Tassili caves portrayed their everyday life and their experiences, they did not invent these humanoid figures, which in some cases, are even depicted with mysterious antennas on their helmets.

Is it possible, as ancient astronaut theorists suggest, that the natives of the Tassili caves actually depicted the ancient astronaut that visited them in the past 10,000 years ago? According to many researchers, it is a possibility.

In 1976, a Spanish expedition traveled to the Sahara to investigate the mysterious cave paintings of Tassili. After analyzing the numerous cave paintings, the Spanish researchers concluded that Extraterrestrial beings regularly visited Earth in the distant past, and that extraterrestrial beings had regular contact with the ancient inhabitants of the region. According to them, one of the cave paintings illustrates several women being taken to a mysterious looking craft.

Next to some of the symbols, researchers have identified a set of symbols which has led experts to speculate that some sort of writing system existed in the area 5000 years ago. This was something mainstream archaeology has a hard time accepting since it changes their official thesis suggesting that Mesopotamia is the cradle of civilization and writing.

The mysterious beings with gloves, boots, and helmets are also seen in the Azyefú, Ti-n-Tazarif and Sefar region.

Many believe that the cave paintings of Tassili are evidence of beings who visited making in the distant past. Sky beings who came to earth thousands of years ago and left their mark in history through the stories and decisions of ancient civilizations worldwide.

Video of Young Girl Claims She Saw Heaven After Falling 30 Feet

Twelve-year-old Annabel Beam was only nine years old when she fell 30 feet from a tree and claimed she saw heaven.

As Fox News Insider reports, “Annabel Beam was just five years old when she was diagnosed with two incurable disorders.”

The two life-threatening diseases affected her digestive system — but after she fell from that tree in 2011, she was asymptomatic and no longer needed medication, her mother Christy revealed.

No scientific explanation has been found for the disappearance of both diseases, but Annabel’s family thinks it has to do with Annabel claiming she saw heaven after she hit her head.

“I saw heaven. It was really bright, and I saw my Mimi who had died a couple years back. That’s how I knew I was in heaven,” Annabel said Tuesday on “Fox & Friends.”

Annabel’s story has now been chronicled by her mother, Christy Beam, in a new book called “Miracles from Heaven: A Little Girl, Her Journey to Heaven, and Her Amazing Story of Healing.”

The Star-Telegram spoke with Christy, who said what made her and her husband really believe her daughter’s story was Annabel’s claim she saw a little girl who Jesus said was her sister.

Christy had suffered a miscarriage before having Annabel and believes that child is who her daughter saw.

While Christy refers to her daughter’s recovery as a “miracle,” the Star-Telegram notes, “Annabel’s Boston-based gastroenterologist, Dr. Samuel Nurko, didn’t call it a miracle, but he did release the girl from his care last November, noting that she ‘is completely asymptomatic, is leading a normal life and is not requiring any therapies.'”

Stories of people claiming they’ve seen heaven are gaining momentum. In 2014, the story of a 4-year-old boy who claims he went to heaven while having an emergency appendectomy was adapted for the big screen in “Heaven Is for Real.”

The movie ended up doing fairly well, grossing around $101 million worldwide at the box office and a nomination for the People’s Choice Awards.

Not all of these stories about seeing heaven have happy endings, though. In January, Alex Malarkey, another child who claimed in a book he went to heaven when he was 6 years old, wrote in an open letter that he actually did not.

But there is evidence out there that nobody, not even the clever and more skeptical among us, have been able to disprove.

There is a film that has captured, unwillingly and unexpectedly, supposedly paranormal evidence that has baffled skeptics and believers alike.

The film is named Return To Babylon, and it is as haunted as any recording can be.

The Origin

According to the director of the movie, Alex Monty Canawati, he and his friend, the producer, found, inside a garbage bag, a strange collection of old tapes filmed in the '40s. The duo used those to create a short film named The Birth of Babylon. It was successful enough to secure a sequel.

Return To Babylon was filmed using old cameras, in black and white, at 16 FPS (remember this, this will be important later). The director managed to get several known actors and actresses for the film, such as Maria Conchita Alonso (Total Recall) and Jennifer Tilly (Bride of Chucky).

The sinister events started to happen during the filming. The crew felt the presence of strange energies and bizarre entities. Jennifer herself states that she could even feel the spirits touching her body multiple times.
After the film was finished, the director and the editor noticed something strange and nefarious in the negatives.
There were demons and horrible creatures manifested in there.

Several experts have analyzed the negatives and have found nothing wrong. They say that no one manipulated them.

These are not special effects.

Some theories floating around indicate that the film was recorded at real haunted locations and that the spirits and ghosts in there were imprinted in the movie.

To my knowledge, this film is not yet available, even if it was filmed a few years ago. It has been projected in a couple of festivals, causing great levels of commotion and shock, but the director, sadly for us, has not found a distributor.

The rational and logical explanation is that the conversion, from tape at 16 FPS to digital video at 24 FPS, merged the frames, giving the impression that something paranormal was happening.

Nevertheless, the images are shocking. Diabolic claws, evil grimaces, long twisted noses. This is the stuff of nightmares.

Women Must Give Husbands Sex ‘Even On Camels’, Islamic Scholar Says

While insisting that the concept of marital rape does not exist in Islam, religious scholars say it is sinful for a Muslim man to force his wife to have sex when she is ill or menstruating.

Perak Mufti Tan Sri Harussani Zakaria said that men can always have sexual intercourse with their spouses even if the latter do not agree, saying that a Muslim woman has “no right” to reject her husband’s demand.

“Even the Prophet says even when they’re riding on the back of the camel, when the husband asks her, she must give.

“So there’s no such thing as rape in marriage. This is made by European people, why should we follow?” he told Malay Mail Online when contacted yesterday as he cited the hadith or reported teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

Harussani claimed that Europe itself did not regard women highly before creating the concept of marital rape after the 18th century when Europeans came into contact with the Muslims and were attempting to improve Islamic laws.

According to Harussani, a woman’s agreement to marry will be sought when her father gives her away to a man in marriage. Subsequently, she can only refuse her husband sex if she is menstruating, sick, or has just given birth, he said.

“Once she got married, the dowry is paid, she can’t refuse unless when she’s [on her] period,” he said, saying that the Quran clearly states that it will be “haram” or forbidden to have a sexual intercourse with a woman who is menstruating.

Independent Muslim preacher Wan Ji Wan Hussin said that rape is defined in Islam as an act between two unmarried individuals.

“That term (marital rape) is not accurate in the practice of Islam because rape in Islam is defined as forced sexual intercourse outside of marriage,” he told Malay Mail Online when contacted yesterday.

While stating that husbands cannot force their wives to have sex, he said the key issue is not about getting consent, but revolves around how men can show love and create a romantic atmosphere to change their spouses’ minds to willingly agree to sexual intercourse.

“That means if the husband does not seek consent, it cannot be considered rape, but that action is considered not polite (beradab) in Islam,” he said, adding that it would not be considered “haram” or sinful, but would be “makruh” or frowned upon by Islam.

Wan Ji said women have the right to refuse sex when they are either sick, menstruating or old, insisting that men having sex in such cases are considered sinful.

During the fasting month for Muslims, both men and women are not allowed to have sexual intercourse and wives must reject such requests by their husbands, he said.

Women may opt to either turn down their husbands’ requests or cancel their fast during optional and additional fasting days, he said, adding that women can even refuse sexual intercourse if they are in a bad mood or were exhausted from work.

Both Harussani and Wan Ji said that using violence to force a wife to have sexual intercourse would be clearly criminal, with the former saying that the wife can call the police or a religious judge as it would be an offence in both the civil and Shariah legal systems.

Wan Ji said the use of actual violence would fall under the “qisas” system of Islamic offences that would allow retributive punishments, explaining that the threat to harm a wife would not be an offence but would be considered a sin as it could affect her emotions.

In Malaysia, marital rape is not a legal offence, but a husband may be prosecuted and imprisoned up to five years for forcing his wife to have sex by threatening violence or by harming her.

Following the launch of DAP lawmaker Yeo Bee Yin’s joint rape awareness campaign with the All Women’s Action Society (AWAM) last week, some Muslims have disagreed with a poster that said “Without her consent, it is rape. No excuse” and claimed that rape does not exist in the context of Islamic marriage.

Las Vegas – A judge came forward revealing that him and possibly three other judges were paid to vote in favor the Money Team’s Floyd Mayweather on multiple occasions.

“I mean what did he think would happen once the checks stop depositing into my account” Said a Las Vegas judge that was on at least 5 of boxer Floyd Mayweather’s fight.

Floyd Mayweather hasn’t responded to the accusations other than posting a video of him thumbing through a check in true Money Mayweather fashion. A formal investigation by the Boxing Association is in progress, but no formal charges or stripping of his titles will be made until it’s complete.

Floyd Mayweather beats Manny Pacquiao on points to remain unbeaten. Judges turn in scores of 116-112, 116-112 and 118-110, all to Mayweather. Mayweather lands 148 of 435 punches (34%), Pacquiao just 81 of 429 (19%).

Conspiracy or Coincidence? Mayweather and Pacquiao Marked In The Wrong Corners On The Scorecard

It is very unlikely to be anything more than human error but conspiracy theorists will allege there was something sinister at hand, though there is no evidence of any intentional wrongdoing on the part of the judges

The bottom right of the scorecard, issued by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, has 'Mayweather won by unanimous decision' written underneath Moretti's name.

Evader Holyfield was among those questioning the decision of the judges, saying 'I thought Pacquiao won a poor fight.'

And several people also took to social media to question the eventual decision. As well as a whole thread about the 'conspricy' starting on Reddit, Twitter user ‏'@OperationSyaf' posted (sic): 'Fight of the century? Scam of the century. (Pacquiao is in the red corner and Mayweather in the blue; reversed scores)'

@LiamFellows added: Pacquiao was in the red corner and Mayweather was in Blue? They've basically robbed Pacquiao of the win he deserved.

And @GoonerMarty is another of many who questioned the marks: 'Interesting, Pacquiao RED corner, Mayweather BLUE, judges appear to have scored in favour of Pac Man'

It was Pacquiao who occupied the red corner, different to what was marked on the official scorecard.

At the end of Round 1, Mayweather (left) turns and walks back to the blue corner of the boxing ring.

Feldman and Clements gave the blue corner victory by 116-112, with Moretti marking the margin of triumph slightly greater at 118-110.

Mayweather extended his impressive unbeaten career record to 48-0 by defeating Pacquiao.

Moretti only gave the red corner two rounds - the fourth and the sixth - while Clements and Feldmen also gave the ninth and 10th to what seemed to be the 38-year-old fighter.

Sportsmail's Jeff Powell, meanwhile, had Pacquiao 4-2 up after six, giving him the early advantage.

Mayweather made most of the ground up in rounds seven to nine in Powell's eyes, while he also impressed in the closing rounds as his opponent tired.

Mayweather also had the edge when it came to the punch stats, outlanding Pacquiao with his jabs and power punches.

Bizarre Disney UFO Movie Pulled Quickly From Public View in 1995

Thanks heaps! I’m getting into the whole UFO/aliens phenomenon as I think it’s interesting and raises major issues with well just about everything. I am finally deciding to admit a UFO sighting over Australia near my house.

Whether or not people agree or disagree is purely up to them and I have no issues with that. When I was 11 yrs old (back in 2001) my dad and I saw something that literally looked like a star wars blockade runner. I kid you not!

It had four circular engines lined up in a row and three rows of four engines lined up above one another. It gave off a massive bluish – yellowish bright light like I had never seen before. It was a very quiet craft and made virtually no noise. I remember vividly that my dad asked me what do you think that is? I said that it could be a rocket or possibly a black project but I’m unsure. It’s too quiet to be any known tech.

By the time I made this statement it disappeared after appearing near my house after about a minute of flight in which it was cruising slowly. It pitched upward and accelerated into the sky to about Mach 25 plus.

As it left a strange energy entered my house and the phones were automatically disconnected for two or so minutes before being re-connected again. It was among one of the strangest things that I have seen.

Mysterious 'X-Files' Noises Captured 22 Miles Above Earth's Surface

For the first time in 50 years, mysterious 'X-Files' sounds have been recorded from the edge of space. A helium balloon built by a student for a NASA project captured the eerie hisses and whistles 22 miles above the Earth's surface.

The bizarre noises were captured using equipment designed and built by Daniel Bowman, a graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, according to LiveScience.

The instruments recorded atmospheric infrasound – sound waves at frequencies below 20 hertz. Since infrasound is below human hearing range, the noises can only be heard when the recording is sped up.

"It sounds kind of like 'The X-Files,'" Bowman said. He added that the intensity of the sounds came as a shock, stating that he was “surprised by the sheer complexity of the signal.”

Capturing the eerie noises wasn't exactly a simple task – it involved infrasound microphones dangling from a helium balloon which flew above the US states of New Mexico and Arizona last year. Launched on August 9, 2014, the flight was part of an annual project conducted by NASA and the Louisiana Space Consortium. Bowman's experiment was one of 10 payloads flown as part of the High Altitude Student Platform (HASP) last year.

During its nine-hour flight, the balloon floated some 450 miles (725 km) and reached a height of more than 123,000 feet (37,500 meters). This is a distance of 62 miles (100 km) above the Earth's surface – an area above where airplanes fly, but below the boundary which marks the top of the stratosphere. It was the first time an infrasound study has reached such heights.

The source of the noises, which were captured 22 miles above Earth, remain a mystery to scientists, though many have speculated about the cause.

Those speculations include ocean waves, gravity waves, clear air turbulence, noise from the balloon cable itself, and even a wind farm under the balloon's path.

Natural occurrences such as storms and earthquakes can also cause infrasounds.

Regardless of the cause, the fact the recording exists is a big step forward, as it marks the first time acoustic recordings have taken place in the stratosphere in 50 years, according to Bowman.

Scientists are hoping more information will be revealed during this year's HASP balloon launch, scheduled to take place this summer.

"I think this work has opened new ground for more research," said Omar Marcillo, a geophysicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, who was not involved in the study. "It's very important for the entire [infrasound] community."

This interesting ancient city, built in 2600 BCE in what is now Pakistan, is one of the earliest examples of city planning. This town contains roads and a drainage system that worked like a sewer.

7. Saksaywaman

Saksaywaman is a fortress outside of Cusco, Peru – the former capital of the Incan nation.

These giant rocks are fitted tightly together. Hundreds of years later, you can’t even fit a piece of paper through them. Now that’s tight!

8. L’Anse aux Meadows

This settlement in North America is believed to have been built by the Vikings 500 years before Columbus discovered the continent for the European empire.

It’s incredible to think that vikings made it all the way to North America from their home in Northern Europe.

The Blythe Intaglios, often called America’s Nazca Lines, are a series of gigantic geoglyphs found fifteen miles north of Blythe California in the Colorado Desert. In the Southwestern United States alone, there are over 600 intaglios (anthropomorphic geoglyphs), but what separates the ones near Blythe is their size and intricacy. In total, there are six figures in three different locations, all within 1,000 feet from one another, situated on two mesas. The geoglyphs depict drawings of humans, animals, objects, and geometric shapes, all of which can be seen from the air.

The Blythe geoglyphs were first discovered on November 12th, 1931 by army air corps pilot George Palmer while flying from the Hoover Damn to Los Angeles. His discovery led to a survey of the area, which resulted in the huge figures becoming classified as historical landmarks and referred to as “Giant Desert Figures.” Lacking funds due to the Depression, it would take until the 1950s to investigate the site further.

In 1952, the National Geographic Society and Smithsonian Institution sent a team of archaeologists to explore the intaglios, and an article appeared in the September issue of National Geographic with aerial photos. It would take another five years for the geoglyphs to be restored and fences erected in order to protect them from vandalism and damage. It should be noted that there is visible tire damage on some of the geoglyphs due to the area being used for desert training during WWII by General George S. Patton. Today the Blythe Intaglios are protected by two lines of fences and open to the public at all times as State Historic Monument No 101.

Some suggest these impressive ground carvings were intended to sacred messages to ancestors or drawings to gods. Indeed, from the ground, these geoglyphs are unremarkable and difficult, if not impossible, to decipher. From an aerial view, the images becomes unmistakable which is, of course, how they were first discovered. Boma Johnson, an archeologist for the Bureau of Land Management in Yuma, Arizona said he could not "think of a single [intaglio example] where [a person] could stand on a hill and look at [an intaglio in its entirety].” Today, the Blyth Intaglios rank among the largest of California’s Native American drawings and the likelihood of discovering similar, hidden geoglyphs out in the desert still remains a possibility.

Mystery surrounding the appearance of strange cloud formations has baffled both residents and experts alike of the State of Washington and British Columbia in Canada.

This mysterious yet beautiful phenomena for some, is something that experts are having a hard time explaining. The phenomena of the appearance of the disc shaped clouds is a mystery that apparently defies logic according to some meteorologists and is something that has been spotted often in the skies.

In March 2015 a very strange cloud was discovered in Bulgaria, whose appearance was identical to a cloud formed in Mexico last year. What is puzzling in this story is that meteorologists do not seem to understand these sudden formations, since many of them are formed in clear sky.

Some users in different social networks argue that these abnormalities which appear in the skies worldwide provide evidence of UFO activity. Ufologists have also suggested the possibility that unidentified flying object can actually hide inside these artificial clouds.

The fenomeen of the appearance of these mysterious clouds has proven to be a worldwide phenomena as people from different continents have managed to photograph these formations in the sky and all of them are similar in one or another way.

More interestingly this phenomena has caught meteorologists by surprise as they have yet to understand and propose a theory why and how these cloud formations of particular nature appear in the sky.

Whether this is in fact something that can be connected to unidentified flying objects, and whether the online community is right regarding these formations is something that cannot be answered at present, as more research is needed to form a conclusion. At present anything is possible.

Age-identifying App Tells You How Old You Look, Also How Many Ghosts Are In Your Vicinity

How-Old.net, the age-guessing website from Microsoft, has been gaining huge amounts of attention online recently, with some people pleased by the app’s flattery, and others incensed by the suggestion that they might look a little more crumbly than they really are.

But the app also has a much creepier, darker side to it – it can (apparently) detect the faces of ghosts, and tell us what age they were when they passed on…

Here’s a selection of Japan’s Twitter users who decided to share the horrifying snaps How-Old reckons are just stuffed with ghosties (or else the face recognition software just needs some further fine-tuning…)

While the age-guessing application has come under fire recently due to rumours that uploading photos to the website means allowing Microsoft to use the images for commercial purposes, we think the much bigger fear is that we might discover a couple of ghostly faces lurking behind us…

Mayweather’s victory cemented his legacy as one of boxing’s best as he extended his unbeaten record to 48-0.

However, before of the fight ring legend Sugar Ray Leonard warned Pacquiao about being too generous with his earnings.

The Filipino’s promoter Bob Arum revealed his man will no doubt give half of it to good causes.

He said: “I’m sure half of what Manny earns in this fight is going to go to charity. That is just Manny.

“We don’t like to talk about money too much as more charities line up.”

Pacquiao is keen to help his struggling compatriots as the Filipino congressman’s influence in the country rises.

The WBO welterweight champion will run for president in the Philippines once his fighting career comes to an end.

Pacquiao is set to undergo surgery on a shoulder problem which hampered his fight against Mayweather.

The Filipino is expected to be out of action for a year.

The Simpsons has been running for more than 25 years, and during this time it has managed to accurately predict future events several times. Whether it intended to or not is beside the point – right there to its left. The hilarious yellow, and oft far from politically correct, family has managed to make a commentary on society that was so accurate it predicted the future. And not once, not twice – not even thrice.

Here are just 10 examples of The Simpsons’ predictions.

10. Ebola Outbreak Predicted

In the 1997, Marge holds up a book titled “Curious George and the Ebola Virus.” Then Bart points to a picture he colored in which he is dead. So yeah, The Simpsons predicted the latest Ebola outbreak – or else based the episode on previous Ebola outbreaks that killed hundreds… whichever.

9. 9/11 Predicted

In the episode “New York City Against Homer,” it seems as though the cartoon’s creators already knew there would be some significance to the whole 9/11 – and it was set in an episode where “against NY” was the pretty much the title… Something to think about.

8. Tiger Mauling Of Siegfried And Roy Predicted

Yes, dealing with tigers is a dangerous thing, and Siegfried and Roy do it constantly. But that doesn’t mean they would inevitable be mauled by a tiger! In 1993 The Simpsons aired an episode in which their version of Siegfried and Roy (Gunther and Ernst) are mauled during a performance. In 2003 it happened to the real pair, well to Roy. Coincidence? Inevitable? Or perhaps Clairvoyant?

7. Wrecking Ball Predicted

Okay… So this might not be a “disaster” per se, it really depends how extreme you are when it comes to pop stars run amuck. Also, one can never know if Homer didn’t predict but rather inspired that music video, back in 1994 when The Simpsons Movie came out. Either way, Homer did it first.

6. Mutant Tomatoes Predicted

Back in 1999 The Simpsons suffered from mutant tomatoes due to the nuclear plant, in 2003 the Japanese found themselves having the exact same problem – mind boggling! Isn’t it? Who knew nature would have adverse reactions to nuclear power plants? But the fact that in both cases it was about tomatoes… that’s the thing to focus on!

5. Technological Breakthroughs Predicted

No, this is not a case of life imitating art, or scientists getting cool ideas from extremely popular shows. This is pure premonition. Smart watches, video chats, and of course Apple’s disastrous autocorrect, which has since generated countless fails posted all over the web – and it all started with “Eat up, Martha” back in 1994. Those Apple people, they’ve had so much time to fix it, and still!

4. Horse Meat Scandal Predicted

Before the UK’s Burger King horse meat scandal in early 2013, the Simpsons’ elementary school had already covered it in 1994.

3. Syrian War Predicted

According to an anchor on an Egyptian channel The Simpsons had predicted the Syrian’s resistance flag, which didn’t exist in 2001.

We won’t mention that the history of the Syrian flag… Let us just say, for the sake of predictions, that America has long conspired to bring war to Syria and break its own word on participating in wars abroad, and thus removing any credibility from its administration.

2. Farmville Phenomenon Predicted

Before Facebook even started and Farmville became a phenomenon among children and draining their minds to zombie level, in 1998 the children from Springfield’s Elementary school were already hooked on a Yard Work simulator. The zombie apocalypse has been predicted!

1. Voting Booth Disaster Predicted

In 2008 Homer tried to vote for Obama, but the voting was rigged, much like the real-life event in 2012. This is truly a harsh blow to democracy, which could have easily been avoided if people started paying closer attention to The Simpsons.

Ok the wait is finally over and the Roswell slides have been revealed so now what do they show? Well at first review I don't these images really show anything extraordinary. In fact I think this slide is quite a mundane anthropological exhibit of a mummified corpse. So why do I think that? Well lets take a look at the image!

So what we have is an image of a body. The body looks remarkably like a mummified corpse like this one:

This mummy was found in the city of Thebes in 1856 and was displayed at the WistarMuseum before being transferred to the Smithsonian in 1956 where it lies today. Looks pretty similar on the surface of it. It's also important to point out that specimen 2397 looks very similar even to the point that it is the same size of 86cm! It's also important to point out that the damage pointed out (ie decapitation etc..) is also consistent with specimen 2397.

So lets look at some of the other elements of the picture!

We are told this image is of a alien from the Roswell crash, but at the same time it looks significantly mummified so why would that be? Dessication like this would take processing (embalming) and quiet some time. I would also ask why a body of such importance would not be stored in a preservative solution? Any visitor to a natural history museum will remember that specimens of importance (from double headed snakes to brains) are stored in a preservative fluid. But that's nit picking, the important part of this conversation is that within months of the body was mummified and placed into museum like setting.

The body is stored on a glass shelf using shelving which appears to be circa 1955, which also corresponds to the dress the woman in the picture is wearing. There is also the question of the other items in the picture. One object appears to be an animal head, and the others appears to be fabric which is reminiscent of the displays we have all seen in our tours. Those fabric samples look remarkably like the wrappings used by the Egyptians during mummification. See below:

We also need to look at the indecipherable identification card. What does it say?

So what do we all think? Is this an alien? Doesn't seem like it. This really looks like a mummy exhibit in a anthropological museum. Given that we are being told that this is a alien body in the possession of the United States Army it just doesn't look right. I would imagine that artifacts would not be stored in a museum setting until decades later. If they are the presentation, I would image for such a secret dangerous object, would be in a much more military setting. This really just looks like miss identification of a museum exhibit.

It's too bad, I really wanted this to be spectacular. I wanted this to be the smoking gun, but it isn't. I'm also concerned that the apparent experts could put so much of their credibility at risk for such an image. Where does that put us? Very disappointing. If we want to find the truth we need to do better research.

No doubt I'll take a fair amount of flack for this but the truth is the truth so I'm going to call it the way I see it and it would appear that the Roswell slide shows specimen 2397 from the Smithsonian.
