The Ouija board first appeared in stores in the 1890s, a mark of 19th century America’s obsession with spiritualism. It was a flat board with the letters of the alphabet written in two arced rows over a straight line of numbers, 0 through 9. The words “YES” and “NO” appear in the uppermost corners and “GOODBYE” is written at the bottom. The board comes with a planchette, a tear-drop shaped device on little feet with a hole in its body through which you can read the number or letter underneath it.

Instructions for using the board are simple: two or more people — mediums — place their fingers lightly on the planchette, ask a question, and let the spirits guide the planchette around the board. The answer will either be a yes or no, or it will be a word spelled out.

For best results, the board asks for mediums who are serious about the process, turn off anything that emits electrical disturbances, and who light candles and incense.

Almost nothing has changed about the Ouija board since its debut, save our understanding of how it probably works. It could be a spirit reaching out to you, but science provides another spooky possibility: You are unconsciously answering questions that you never thought you could.

Two factors are at play when using an Ouija board: A strong subconscious need for an answer to a question and a phenomenon known as the ideomotor effect.

The ideomotor effect says that people can move or move something without their conscious mind realizing it. In the case of the Ouija board, if you really want the answer to a question to be yes and your partner knows it, you could both push the planchette to “YES” without either of you consciously applying any force. (And if you think you can ever keep your hands completely still, try keeping a laser pointer’s dot perfectly motionless.)

You can test this effect for yourself. Find a string and tie something moderately heavy to it. Extend your arm and hold the string and hanging object as still as possible. Now imagine the object moving in a circle. Even though you think your arm is motionless, the object should start moving!

The University of British Columbia ran a study on the ideomotor effect and the Ouija board in 2012. One test had subjects sit at a Ouija board with another person and answer factual yes or no questions. The subject was blindfolded when using the board and the partner knowingly removed their hands from the planchette. The blindfolded subject moved the planchette alone, answering questions, but felt that they were exerting no force on it at all. The subjects answered more questions correctly than when they answered the same questions verbally — they did better when they believed they weren’t in full control of the planchette.

This an example of implicit — unconscious — cognition, and experiments with the Ouija board and concepts like it may end up revealing quite a lot about how the mind makes decisions below our level of awareness.

But this doesn’t mean that there’s anything wrong with turning to a Ouija board for answers, or trying to channel spirits at Halloween. You just might be channeling the dark depths of an inaccessible unconscious, which is scary enough as it is. –

Long-lived (hundreds of thousands of years) extraterrestrial Homo Sapien Golaths from the planet Nibiru mined gold on Earth 400,000 years ago. 300,000 years ago they created Earth-adapted, short-lived mine slaves—that’s us–from their genome. We called them “Anunnaki,” People-From-The-Sky. They taught us hierarchy, violence, greed, slavery, debt. Enki begat Noah with Batanash, his Earthling lover in 11,000 BCE. After Noah’s flood, Anunnaki ruled through Noah’s sons’ descendants.

The Anunnaki ruined their eastern Mediterranean cities with nuclear blasts and fallout storms. Most of Anunnaki returned to Nibiru by 311 BCE. But some stayed. They and their descendants (the power elite) rule us to this day. The Nibirans taught one-upsmanship.

We watched them kill each other to rule; the elite today still kill each other and each others’ followers. Our ancestors plundered, enslaved or killed whomever their master, the dominant Nibiran in their area, told them. We Earthlings still plunder, enslave and kill whomever our elites tell us. The Anunnaki loosed plagues, nuclear bombs and other weapons of mass destruction upon us. They raised speech barriers and forbade learning. They and their spawn made exclusive, hostile nations and religions to keep us divided. They addicted us to credit institutions to keep us slaving. The Anunnaki stand feet taller and live millennia longer than we. We killed in their names: Allah (= Sumerian Nannar), Yahweh (Enlil, sometimes Adad) and Inanna (Ishtar)–Nibiran Expedition personnel all. They bred us to slave in mines, armies, businesses, schools, governments, farms, factories, brothels and building projects.

We worshipped and them and the “royal” lines of ever-murderous hybrid rulers and priests–the elite–they begat.

The few Anunnaki who stayed on Earth and the line of hybrids they support still rule Earth. They give all factions and nations credit and arms and engineer wars among them. The elite run competing religions which each say they’ll bring back the Anunnaki god of their faith and defeat gods and followers of other faiths.

We can end the power of the lies that impoverish us. The ancient scenario of divide-and-rule, to this very day, makes us deplete our resources, pollute Earth and wage war. The elite and their ET controllers assure we never feel our unity as a planet of peace. Lies of church and state hide technology, knowledge of our ET heritage and info about the Galactic Federation.

Commander Enlil-Yahweh hated women; so did his rival, Marduk. Yahweh and Allah–Anunnaki in any case–murdered many. These Anunnaki lacked compassion, showed neither love nor divinity.

Other Anunnaki–Enki, Ningishzidda, Ninmah–love us and continue to work to free us from the mental matrix with which Yahweh and Allah (Enlil’s second son) have left us enslaved. Bau, daughter of Nibiru’s king Anu, loved us too; she died as she treated victims of nuclear fallout from bombs her mate Ninurta dropped on us.

Embrace the oneness of all Earthlings and stop warring. Our allies among the Anunnaki can, when we stop warring, advance our astronomy, medicine, energy, rocket science and survival strategies.

We all descended from the same genitors. Anunnaki and hybrid overseers imprinted their greed, one-upsmanship and dominator-consciousness on us. They modeled, dictated and indoctrinated avarice, domination, slavery, competition, hate and violence.

Some of Anunnaki stay on Earth. They still control us and Earth’s resources. Their perverse perspective will prevail unless we see the matrix they made and nullify it. Then we make a world that honors everyone’s consciousness.

The Anunnaki dictated their world view to Earthling scribes of Iraq (then called Sumer). Clay tablets the gods dictated say that on Nibiru, a king and his military ruled.

The Anunnaki dictated tales of how, 450,000 years ago, they got gold from Earth and how, till 300,000 years ago, when they created us for the mines, they shipped the gold back to Nibiru. Their stay on Earth before they made our ancestors and what our forefathers saw, imprinted us with values of their hierarchic, male-run, master-slave-enemy mentality.

We assumed values of extract, pollute, enslave, indebt, monopolize and obsess with gold. Yet we all descended from the same ancestors from space. We can trash the mental matrix the so-called gods scripted. We can transcend the legacy of the gods. When we recall our oneness, we survive together. We plan together for the periodic returns of the planet Nibiru and its false gods.

Millions of years before the Anunnaki got to Earth, other ET terraformers seeded hominoids here. The terraformers introduced advanced hominoids, ancestors of Homo Erectus, Neanderthal and Bigfoot, to Earth so the Anunnaki could implant Homo Erectus genes into their Homo Sapien genome and thus adapt their genome to Earth. The Anunnaki created what the terraformers planned for us—they made us Homo Sapien like them, but adapted to Earth [Pye, 2013].



We progressed when the Anunnaki gave us new technologies. Every 3,600 years, they gave us marvelous devices, astronomical and geological information, new crops, new chemistry and ever-more lethal weapons. Suddenly, our architecture, public projects, weaponry, and military training revved up and we build new cities, temples and armies.

Our Sumerians ancestors didn’t imagine gods who made them literate and told them what to write. Rather than make up gods, Sumerians saw, heard and even touched Anunnaki as people like them, though the Anunnaki stood taller and lived longer.

Sumerians watched the giants run computers and advanced machines. They witnessed gods shooting weapons of mass destruction.

In Sumer, then all over this planet, the gods gave our ancestors ever-advanced technologies and models so they could rule, relate, mine, store data, compute, write, build, trade and war. Gods chose their half-breeds to rule us.

The Anunnaki bred with our ancient grandmothers each generation. Our ancestors everywhere on Earth saw, heard and even felt Anunnaki gods. Gods were not imaginary. Nor were they gods.

Mesopotamians, Egyptians, Indians, Norse, Chinese, Tibetans, Central and South Americans all spoke of gods who rode Celestial Chariots, threw thunderbolts and, when Nibiru neared Earth, gave us crops, herds, devices, medicine, laws, knowledge and more Nibiran genes.

Noah’s descendants passed their mandate to rule “from Sumer through Egypt to Israel through David and the messiahs, fostered by the Essene communities in Canaan. In 2000, Zecharia Sitchin showed us clay and stone proof. Rocks and inscribed records astronomical, geological, geographical, chemical and biological info Sumerians said gods gave them, info our scientists only got millennia later.

Sitchin disproved the elite’s lies. He solved the mysteries of missing hominid links never found since they didn’t exist. He showed how they periodically upleved our society and its industries. No missing physical links existed since we appeared suddenly, when Enki and his cohorts added Erectus genes to their genome. We got advanced technology when Sumerian “gods” gave it to us.

Our ancestors recorded the history, scientific words and concepts the gods taught them. What gods called “MEs” we call computer programs. Our cultures added descriptions, metaphors, similes and analogies to the words the gods gave us.

Sumerians tagged Anunnaki aircraft, submarines, helicopters, spaceships, weapons and computers with their own words and words the gods taught them. Our ancestors called aircraft and rockets “skyships, “celestial chariots” and “fire-breathing dragons.” They named helicopters “whirlbirds.” A whale that swallowed Jonah = a submarine; weapons = “brilliances.” We labeled Nibiran medical and scientific achievements “miracles.”

We can now decode our ancestors’ metaphors for the gods and their technology instead of dismissing the weapons, vehicles and personalities of gods as superstitious myths.

Review our ancient history and sense of who we are, how we got here, and how the new paradigm of our genetics we free ourselves from the master-slave, god-devotee, boss-worker, lord-tenant model the ETs imposed on us.

Russia has sent more troops and dozens of tanks into Ukraine as the conflict between the two nations intensified and fears of World War 3 in the region grew.

NATO confirmed on Friday that Russia sent a convoy of 32 tanks into Ukraine. Also included in the convoy were 16 howitzer cannons and 30 trucks of troops and equipment. The convoy entered Ukraine’s Luhansk region, which is controlled by pro-Russia rebels.

“The deployment continues of military equipment and Russian mercenaries to the front lines,” Ukraine’s military spokesman Andriy Lysenko said in a televised briefing.

The latest build-up in Ukraine comes amid increased military activity for Russia. Within the past few weeks, Russia has sent dozens of fighter jets and warplanes into NATO airspace in what many believe is a test of their defenses. Much of the activity has been centered in the Baltics, areas with large pockets of ethnic Russian populations that many fear Russia could invade after Ukraine.

In a span of 24 hours last week, NATO intercepted 19 aircraft. The acts have many worried about possible World War 3 in the region, and had Pentagon officials worried about the threat to civil aviation.

“Well, we certainly don’t see this – these increased flights and activity as helpful to the security situation in Europe,” said Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby. “Clearly, they – they pose the potential risk of escalation. They also, quite frankly, could pose just a potential risk to civil aviation just in the sheer number of and size of and scope of these flights. So, they’re not – they’re not exactly helpful.”

“But we’re watching these flights very, very closely. I can tell you that there was another – there were more flights today – NATO-tracked flights out over the Baltics and North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The aircraft involved fighter jets, long-range bombers, and tanker aircraft,” Kirby added.

While the latest invasion of Ukraine has sparked fears of World War 3, it has also dealt a blow to the economy in Russia. When news of the invasion broke, it sparked fear in the currency market, with the euro reaching the 60 ruble mark for the first time ever.

In 1894 the Indian astronomer, Sri Yukteswar, wrote that the cause of the precession of the equinox was the result of our sun’s orbit around another star.

He estimated the orbit period at 24,000 years.

This long cycle is the same concept as Plato's Great Year, as well as the Maya Long Count calendar.

The deeper occult (hidden) meaning of the pre-Christian cross, as well as it's 4 cardinal points, are of great importance in esoteric astrology and astro-theology.

This understanding is the essence behind the symbol most famously referred to as the "Swastika" in Sanskrit (卐), the symbol and its meaning pre-dates written Sanskrit itself.

Astro-theology is the study of the astronomical influence on religion. The ancient Greeks associated the Swastika with the sun god Apollo, exemplifying the symbol's historic and universal use as a solar emblem.

 The Fixed Cross, consisting of the four constellations, has the same four signs regarded in the Christian belief as the four living creatures of the prophet Ezekiel.

These four had the face of a man, Aquarius; the body of a lion, Leo; the horns of an ox, Taurus; and the wings of an eagle, Scorpio. The Eagle was astrologically interchangeable with Scorpio.

These same 4 fixed signs of the zodiac are symbolized in the four evangelists, and in the four beasts of Revelations.

When Moses was said to have descended from the mountain with the ten commandments (17th - 13th century BC, the end of the Age of Taurus), some of his people or followers were found by him to be worshipping a golden bull calf. He instructed these worshipers to be killed. This represents Moses "killing" the bull and ending the Age of Taurus, and ushering in the Age of Aries, which he represents when he is sometimes depicted with ram horns.

This is the same scenario when Mithras, as the solar hero/deity, ends the Taurean Age by killing the Bull, ushering in the Aryan age. This ancient ritual is still played out with bullfighting today, and the reason why the bullfighter with the red solar cape (Bulls are color blind) traditionally ends up killing the bull at the end.

These are treasures that Israel doesn’t allow anyone to check out of its national library.

As it pioneers a worldwide initiative to digitize every Hebrew manuscript in existence, Israel’s National Library offers a rare and tantalizing sight of its most prized treasures

Kafka’s Hebrew vocabulary notebook. The first written evidence of the Yiddish language. And the Crowns of Damascus, Bibles smuggled out of Syria 20 years ago in a Mossad spy operation so classified that their very existence in Israel was kept secret for years.

Many nations maintain official libraries of their countries’ most prized historical manuscripts. Israel’s is unique: It seeks manuscripts from every country in the world where Jews have ever lived.

Now the National Library of Israel is dusting the cobwebs off some of the most prized jewels of its collection as it seeks to draw attention to a new effort to preserve — and publicize — these treasures.

It’s pioneering a worldwide initiative to digitize every Hebrew manuscript in existence. It’s building a new home next to the Israeli parliament. On Sunday, it sent a prized manuscript handwritten by medieval Jewish philosopher Maimonides to France accompanied by bodyguards for a first-ever display at the Louvre Museum.

Later this month, the library is convening what it calls a Global Forum of luminaries — philanthropist Lord Rothschild, former U.S. diplomat Elliott Abrams, Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman and others — to raise the profile of the collection.

This week, the library in Jerusalem opened its vaults and gave a rare glimpse at its most prized treasures. Some had not been made public in years. Others have never had public viewings.

“Though these items are unique, what makes them even more unique is the stories behind them,” said Aviad Stollman, the library’s head of collections.

Here’s a look at a few of those manuscripts, and the unlikely route they took to Jerusalem.

THE CROWNS OF DAMASCUS

These “crowns,” a Jewish term for revered biblical manuscripts, are some of the earliest complete manuscripts of the Hebrew Bible. Written in the Middle East and Europe between 700 to 1,000 years ago, they were safeguarded by Syria’s ancient Jewish community in Damascus for hundreds of years.

Syria’s late dictator, Hafez Assad, lifted travel restrictions on Jews in the early 1990s. Some resettled in Israel, and with them, the manuscripts, in a classified operation by Israel’s Mossad espionage agency. They were deposited at the national library for restoration and climate-controlled storage.

“We got them from the Mossad on condition that we would keep it a complete secret,” said Raphi Weiser, who at the time was the director of the library’s manuscripts and archives director. Only a dozen staffers at the library knew about the manuscripts at the time, said Weiser, who is now retired and still volunteers at the library.

The existence of the manuscripts in Israel was made public in 2000, when they were shown to a private audience. They have not been displayed since.

The most precious of the collection, a 13th-century Spanish Bible, used to be kept at Damascus’ ancient Jobar synagogue, Weiser said. Last year the synagogue was destroyed in Syria’s civil war, according to opposition activists.

“You wonder what would have happened to this manuscript if it would have remained there,” Weiser said.

KAFKA’S HEBREW NOTEBOOK

This thin notebook contains 20 pages of Hebrew vocabulary words scrawled in the large block letters of preeminent author Franz Kafka.

At the end of his life, the German-speaking Jewish author considered leaving Prague and moving to pre-state Israel. He took Hebrew lessons with an 18-year-old Jerusalem native who was in Prague in the 1920s studying math. He never moved to the emerging Jewish state, which gained independence in 1948, but his teacher eventually donated her student’s vocabulary notebook to the collection.

None of Kafka’s writings were supposed to have survived. Before he died, Kafka asked his friend to burn them. Instead, his works were published, turning Kafka posthumously into one of the most celebrated writers of the 20th century.

In a Kafkaesque courtroom saga, an Israeli court in 2012 ruled that two Israeli sisters in possession of a trove of unpublished Kafka manuscripts must hand them over to the national library.

The ruling is being appealed. The library says if it receives the manuscripts, it will post them online, and unknown stories by Kafka may emerge.

NEWTON’S THEOLOGICAL THEORIES

Sir Isaac Newton gave the world three laws of motion that bear his name. But he had other theories too: about Hebrew scripture and the apocalypse.

In his cursive English, occasionally laced with Hebrew words, Newton applied his scientific mind to measurements of the ancient Jewish Temple in Jerusalem and predicted the end of the world in the year 2060.

These writings should have ended up at Cambridge University, where his descendants donated most of Newton’s original manuscripts in 1872. But at the time, Cambridge expressed no interest in Newton’s theological scribbles, said Milka Levy-Rubin, curator of the Israel national library’s humanities collection.

In 1936, his descendants sold the manuscripts at Sotheby’s auction house. But bidders were far more interested in an auction of impressionist paintings at London’s rival auction house Christie’s the very same day.

Jewish scholar Abraham Shalom Yahuda caught wind of the manuscripts, bought the theological writings, and donated them to what would become the national library.

EARLIEST YIDDISH TEXT

This enormous, heavy 13th-century prayer book, written in red and black Hebrew calligraphy, was used by cantors to lead festival prayers in the synagogue of Worms, a German city.

On page 54a, buried inside the large black Hebrew letters of a Passover hymn, is a message: “Let a good day shine for him who carries this prayer book to the synagogue.”

It’s the earliest known textual evidence of Yiddish, the centuries-old language of Ashkenazi Jews of central and eastern Europe.

The prayer book was in use until the synagogue was destroyed in 1938 on Kristallnacht, a night of attacks on Jewish properties in Nazi Germany. The city’s archivist managed to ferret the manuscript’s two volumes out of a Gestapo office basement and hid it in the tower of the city’s cathedral, saving it from the Allied bombing of the city.

In 1957, as part of Holocaust reparation negotiations, Germany gave Israel the historical prayer book.

NOBEL LAUREATE’S SCRAPS

Israel’s only winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, S.Y. Agnon, was writing his masterpiece “Shira” when, as he often did, he ripped up drafts of the work in his quest for perfection. But at some point, he became too ill to climb the stairs and burn the drafts in his fireplace.

His son managed to collect the torn scraps of paper from Agnon’s fireplace and wastebasket, and upon the author’s death in 1970, his family donated them and manuscripts of his novel to Israel’s National Library, said Weiser.

The drafts and handwritten manuscripts reveal Agnon’s obsessive editing and re-editing, like names of main characters that changed, wordings reworked.

“If he would have put that energy into new stories,” Weiser said, “We could have enjoyed many more volumes of works.”

A sickening photo has emerged social media showing a toddler kicking the severed head of a dead soldier in Syria.

The toddler's father is believed to be an avid Islamic State supporter and is wearing a camouflage military style baseball cap on his head.

The father can be seen smiling with delight in the photo as he watches his innocent child kick the severed head.

Leaning over, the bearded man, wearing a short white thoub, appears to be helping his young child to raise their small leg and kick the rotting head of the dead body.

At least one person, wearing three quarter length jeans can be seen watching the horrific scene.

The severed head, which is too gruesome to show in full detail, appears to be several days old.

Shocking photo has emerged showing a suspected ISIS supporter encouraging a toddler to kick the severed head of a dead soldier 

It appears to be the head of a dead prisoner, although it is hard to distinguish his features due to the heavy decomposition of the face.

The face has also suffered a deep wound, suggesting the victim had been militated with a knife.

The horrific photo comes just hours after 'Raqqa is being Slaughtered silently', a Syrian activist group based in the ISIS stronghold posted photos of the latest barbaric execution carried out by IS.

The photo shows a crowd of young boys, standing around a wooden gallows. There appears to be at least ten boys in the photo, but few are focused on the gruelsome scene nearby.

At the center of the photo is the body of a Syrian rebel member, who has been crucified and beheaded.

It is believed he was the relative of Zahran Alloush, the renowned leader of Jaysh al-Islam, one of the groups which is part of the Islamic Front and fighting to form their own Islamic State in Syria.

Zahran Alloush shot to fame for surprising reasons in early July when Islamic Front released a video showing the imposing figure of Alloush delivering a rousing speech to denounce Islamic State.

However, it was his notebook which attracted a bigger talking point rather than the words of his speech.

On his desk, a Hello Kitty notebook appears to have been used by Alloush whilst making notes for his speech.

The Japanese brand, which celebrated its 40th birthday the other day, is better known to be the trusted diary for teenage girls rather than fearsome rebel leaders, leading many Islamic State supporters to mock Alloush on social media.

It is unknown exactly how closely related the dead prisoner in the photo was to Zahran Alloush. However due to the age of his body, it is likely he was possibly a distant, younger cousin.

The photo shows how he was subjected to a brutal death as his arms are bound to the scaffolds in an outstretched crucifixion pose.

The head has been severed from his body and placed on his lap, with blood still dripping from the open neck wound.

The horrific scene, which appears to have been openly witnessed by children, underlines the brutality of Islamic State.

Their interpretation of Shari'a law has meant that public executions for crimes like 'cursing God' and 'sorcery' have become a fixture in the city's public square.

Young boys appear to be openly encouraged to witness these appalling scenes without any consideration by adults.

AIDS and Ebola viruses did not originate from monkeys left alone in the wild – they were bioengineered in American laboratories. So says an internationally known public health authority with Harvard credentials, Dr. Leonard G. Horowitz, based on a review of more than 2,500 government documents and scientific reports, some gained through the Freedom of Information Act and never before revealed to the general public.

The Gary Null” show, originating in New York on WBAI radio, syndicated in 20 cities and heard by more than a million people, during a one hour interview with Dr. Horowitz Listeners learned that HIV-1, and its parent, HIV-2, have been traced to National Cancer Institute (NCI) and military funded cancer virus experiments which used infected African green monkeys to produce vaccines intended to prevent hepatitis, leukemia, and other cancers.

The documented evidence revealed in Dr. Horowitz’s new book, Emerging Viruses: AIDS and Ebola – Nature, Accident or Genocide? (Tetrahedron Publishing Group, 1996), shows that NCI researchers, during the 1960’s, mixed viral genes from different animals to produce leukemia, sarcoma, general wasting, and death. This provided the “cancer models” used to study human cancer and begin human vaccine trials. What would happen if a world-renowned scientist and evolutionary ecologist told hundreds of his colleagues that 90 percent of the human race needed to be wiped out by exposure to Ebola or some other deadly virus?

Apparently, according to a scientist who claims to have witnessed such a remarkable event one month ago, the fiend would get a standing ovation and an award.

That’s the story being told by Forrest Mims III, a member of the Texas Academy of Science, chairman of its environmental science section and editor of the Citizen Scientist.

The speech Mims heard was delivered by Eric R. Pianka, a lizard expert from the University of Texas. It isrecounted in detail in the latest issue of the Citizen Scientist.

“We’re no better than bacteria,” Mims quoted Pianka as saying in his condemnation of the human race, which, he claimed, is overpopulating the Earth.

The only way to save the planet for the rest of the species is to reduce the human population to 10 percent of its current number.

“He then showed solutions for reducing the world’s population in the form of a slide depicting the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse,” writes Mims. “War and famine would not do, he explained. Instead, disease offered the most efficient and fastest way to kill the billions that must soon die if the population crisis is to be solved. Pianka then displayed a slide showing rows of human skulls, one of which had red lights flashing from its eye sockets. AIDS is not an efficient killer, he explained, because it is too slow. His favorite candidate for eliminating 90 percent of the world’s population is airborne Ebola (Ebola reston), because it is both highly lethal and it kills in days, instead of years. However, Professor Pianka did not mention that Ebola victims die a slow and torturous death as the virus initiates a cascade of biological calamities inside the victim that eventually liquefy the internal organs.”

Pianka notes in the online syllabus for his Diversity and Ecology class that the deadly form of Ebola – Ebola zaire – that has killed nine out of the 10 people infected currently only spreads by direct contact with infected blood, while Ebola reston, the close relative that currently kills only monkeys, is an airborne virus. Evolution, he says, will in time result in an airborne form fatal to humans.

Mims notes that when Pianka finished his remarks, the audience of fellow scientists and students burst out in sustained applause.

During a question-and-answer sessions, the audience laughed approvingly when Pianka offered the bird flu as another vehicle toward achieving his goal. They also chuckled when he suggested it was time to sterilize everyone on Earth.

“What kind of reception have you received as you have presented these ideas to other audiences that are not representative of us?” asked one member of the audience.

“I speak to the converted!” Pianka replied.

Mims said he spoke glowingly of the police state in China that enforces a one-child policy.

“Smarter people have fewer kids,” Mims quoted Pianka as saying.

Following the question-and-answer session, Mims says “almost every scientist, professor and college student present stood to their feet and vigorously applauded the man who had enthusiastically endorsed the elimination of 90 percent of the human population. Some even cheered. Dozens then mobbed the professor at the lectern to extend greetings and ask questions.”

Mims notes five hours later, the Texas Academy of Science presented Pianka with a plaque in recognition of his being named 2006 Distinguished Texas Scientist.

“When the banquet hall filled with more than 400 people responded with enthusiastic applause, I walked out in protest,” he writes.

Mims, an electronics author, has written some 60 books that have sold 7.5 million copies.

Have you visited Nigeria on the African continent lately? If you have and also dined at a certain restaurant you may have been introduced to the local practice of cannibalism. Cannibalism unknown to YOU the diner. Police have arrested 11 people. Restaurant in the African country of Nigeria shut down after locals had reported the coming and going of ‘strange’ people seen nearby at the restaurant.

The police in Anambra, Nigeria in searching the restaurant have found, among other things, 2 fresh human heads, multiple dismembered bodies which were wrapped in cellophane. The nearby locals had tipped people that weird people have been seen coming and going. 2 Ak-47’s, dozens of rounds of ammo and also several cell phones have been uncovered at restaurant after raid.

A local nearby to restaurant has been made of record in saying, “We always saw weird people coming and going.”
An area pastor whom had dined there and unsuspectingly devoured human flesh also has said, “I ate at the restaurant. The bill was very high. When I asked a restaurant worker why the bill was so (steep), I was told that the reason was because I had eaten human flesh.” Dazed, the pastor was at a loss to describe more.

So, maybe your last meal out wasn’t so bad after all, right? If you had the choice of Sirloin or Rump-roast, well, let’s just say medium or rare, at least you weren’t forced to become a cannibal and pay the bill, too. Hard to say whether or not the common diner would be able to bounce back if the waiter serving your table told you, :”Well, being a cannibal isn’t so bad.” And to be up-charged for the chance in doing so!

Next time you travel to Nigeria be sure to inquire of responsible locals, “Hey? Have you ever heard of any of you (locals) being on the menu at this establishment?” Might just save you from being exposed to unknown cannibalism. Just saying, people, be certain to check beforehand. Even if it doesn’t seem to be too likely the chance still exists. In Anambra, Nigeria anyhow. Bon apetite!

Jesus was a devoted family man with two kids and Mary Magdalene for his wife, a new history book based on an ancient manuscript claims.

According to the 1,500-year-old text, there was a previously unknown plot on Jesus’s life 13 years prior to the crucifixion. The revelations were made by Professor of Religious Studies at Toronto's York University, Barrie Wilson, and an Israeli-Canadian historical writer and filmmaker, Simcha Jacobovic.

One of the most astounding claims in the book is that Mary Magdalene was the same person as the Virgin Mary. The authors of The Lost Gospel assert that the manuscript features the names of the two children of Christ and Mary Magdalene – and even recites an assassination attempt against Mary and the children.

The book also chronicles Jesus’s connections to Emperor Tiberius and his best friend, the soldier Sejanus.

The manuscript, known as “The Ecclesiastical History of Zacharias Rhetor (of Mytilene)” has been with the British Museum and then the British Library for nearly 170 years, according to The Sunday Times. It was purchased by the British Museum in 1847 before being transferred to the British Library some 20 years ago.

The Lost Gospel, which has been translated from Aramaic, is set to come out later this month; details of the manuscript are expected to be revealed at a press conference at the British Library on Wednesday.

Claims that Jesus was married have been published before. One of the latest cases was the 2012 discovery of an Egyptian papyrus fragment, which some scholars believed to be the first explicit reference to Jesus being married. Although many claimed it was a forgery, according to the results of a carbon dating test released earlier this year, the so-called “Gospel of Jesus’s Wife” could have originated as far back as the 8th century AD, shattering allegations that the fragment of paper had been produced more recently by fraudsters.

The universe is full of mysteries that challenge our current knowledge. In "Beyond Science" Epoch Times collects stories about these strange phenomena to stimulate the imagination and open up previously undreamed of possibilities. Are they true? You decide.

Today, we take for granted nightly city skylines, streetlights, and the overall power that drives our modern convenience. But, could the wise-men of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia have had knowledge of electricity, even electric illumination, or even electric-based technology? Within the framework of some archaeological evidence, the answer seems affirmative.

The most widely cited evidence that the ancient Egyptians used electricity is a relief beneath the Temple of Hathor at Dendera, Egypt that depicts figures standing around a large light-bulb-like object.

An Ancient Light Bulb?

The socket is represented by what appears to be a lotus flower with a stem that runs like a cable along the bottom of the “device.” Inside the “bulb” is a snake-like line winding its way out of the lotus flower “socket.” According to supporters of the hypothesis that this depicts an electrical light, such as Erich Von Däniken who wrote “Chariot of the Gods,” the snake represents the filament of the bulb.

Von Däniken created a working model of the bulb in the laboratory which works, emitting an eerie, purplish light.

He used the same measurements, including two metal beams that look like arms stretched into the big end of the bulb, and a wire connecting those beams with the “socket” at the other end.

But where did the power come from to light the bulb in ancient Egypt? 

An Ancient Battery?

An artifact found a ways away from Egypt, outside of modern-day Baghdad, shows some electricity production was possible in the Middle East thousands of years ago. This artifact is known as the Baghdad Battery.

The Baghdad Battery is simple in comparison with today’s batteries. It consists of a clay jar with a stopper made of asphalt. Through the stopper is an iron rod surrounded by a copper cylinder. It is believed that the jar would have been filled with a common acidic substance such as vinegar that would allow it to produce about 1.1 volts of electricity. Replicas of the battery have shown it works.

1.1 volts may not seem like much, but if you string several of these batteries together, the voltage increases. The battery was dated from 250 B.C. to 250 A.D. The current belief is that these batteries were used in early electroplating (bonding a layer of one type of metal onto the surface of another).

These batteries aren’t the only theoretical power source.

Some claim that one of the most iconic structures in Egypt is in fact the most misunderstood device on the planet. Specifically, supporters of the ancient Egyptian electricity hypothesis say the Great Pyramid of Giza was actually used as a power plant.

An Ancient Power Plant?

This idea was first championed by author and researcher Christopher Dunn in his books “The Giza Power Plant” and “Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt.”

Dunn said the “Kings Chamber” located in the heart of the Great Pyramid was once the central power generating apparatus of the super structure. It is constructed primarily of pink granite, a material rich in micro-quartz-crystals.

In fact, the Great Pyramid is mostly granite, and granite is made up of many tiny quartz crystals that, when exposed to pressure and/or energy vibrations, generate electricity. This is known in the scientific community as the piezoelectric effect. This effect is used in many modern technologies, such as loud speakers, signal transducers, and it has some applications in the automotive industry.

According to Dunn and other supporters of this theory, the granite sarcophagus in the King’s Chamber (also intricately carved in solid pink granite) could have been instrumental in transmuting the low-frequency vibrations emitted by the earth into electrical energy. Additionally, Dunn said, the supporting beams in the ceiling of the king’s chamber all seem to have been precisely tuned, or cut to size, to perfectly resonate with this frequency.

Mars Rover Curiosity captured again an interesting artifact on Mars. The latest image shows what appears to be ancient petroglpyphs engraved in a rock.

 Petroglyphs (also called rock engravings) are pictogram and logogram images created by removing part of a rock surface by incising, picking, carving, and abrading.

Petroglyphs are sometimes easily defined based on the culture, religious beliefs, mythologies, and legends of an ancient civilization placed on rock formations for their descendants.

Many ancient petroglyphs are thought to represent some kind of ritual language often depicting with the same archetypal symbols.

By Pardoned soldier reiterates confession

A soldier convicted for the assassination of Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino stands by his confession that Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco ordered the killing of the opposition leader upon his return from exile in 1983.

Cojuangco, chairman of San Miguel Corporation, was a crony of President Marcos. He is the cousin of former President Corazon Aquino but has been at odds with her politically.

Cojuangco has denied the accusation.

Master Sergeant Pablo Martinez reiterated his confession in an interview with ABS-CBN’s Julius Babao yesterday after his release from jail. President Arroyo granted Martinez, a former aviation security officer, pardon on humanitarian grounds. He has turned 70 and has served 24 years in prison. (Read the interview transcript. )

When asked by TV reporter Babao who the mastermind of the Aquino assassination was, Martinez replied, “Danding Cojuangco.” Speaking in Pilipino, Martinez said that he met some persons two days before the assassination in August 1983 who claimed they were “bata (associates)” of Cojuangco. Martinez said that he was billeted in a “hotel” and that was where he met the Cojuangco boys.

“I didn’t hear any direct order from him (Cojuangco). But I asked them (the men in the hotel) who was giving them the order and they replied, Danding,” Martinez told Babao. ABS-CBN provided Newsbreak the transcript of the interview.

In 1994, it was reported that Martinez became a born-again Christian and confessed to his fellow prisoners that he “didn’t want to lie anymore.” In a Time magazine story (Feb. 2006), Martinez said that Rolando Galman, the alleged assassin who was killed, told him that the plot was ordered by Cojuangco.

Martinez submitted this confession in a deposition to the Supreme Court through Persida Rueda-Acosta, the country’s public defender. But Rueda-Acosta said in a radio interview with DZMM this morning that she is not after the mastermind because, as public defender, her work is to look after the condition of the soldiers still languishing in jail.

The Supreme Court ruled in July last year that Martinez’s confession didn’t qualify as “newly found evidence” and declined to reopen the case.

A woman seemed to experience a brain snap after she couldn't get any cash out of the ATM prompting her to tear apart the machine with her own hands.

The lady created quite a scene in a shopping mall in Dongguan in the Chinese province of Guangdong when she astoundingly dismantled the machine within a matter of minutes.

The extreme behaviour drew an intrigued crowd of shoppers to gather around and watch the strange event unfold while taking photos on their phones.

CCTV footage showed she managed to disassemble the machine within a matter of minutes

A crowd gathered, including a security guard, and watched on while police were called

However, despite at least three security guards attending the bizarre scene - no one attempted to stop the woman from damaging the machine.

The woman was seen mumbling to herself and hitting the machine at the Shilong Jingshawan Shopping Mall at 5.50pm on October 16, a centre representative told the Southern Metropolis Daily, according to the China Smack website.

The representative said that the security guards were called to the scene after reports of the woman pulling apart the machine within a 'short few minutes'.

'We can see from the mall's security cameras that she first pried off the plastic frame/case off the sides of the ATM, and then forcefully tore out the computer display,' the representative said.

'After dismantling the machine, she even stood there as if nothing had happened, but was then taken back to the police station once police arrived.'

The woman told police that she had repeatedly tried to make withdraw money from the machine

There ended up being three security guards keeping an eye on the situation as the woman just stood back and looked at her destruction

The representative said the footage showed she did not use any tools to pull apart the machine.

If you fall within the Gen-Y era like us, chances are you’ve given a bunch of thought as to how you would raise your own children in this day and age (assuming you don’t have children already). Especially with technology, so much has changed since our childhoods in the 90s. Here’s one question: Would you introduce the technological wonder/heroin that is the iPod and iPad to your kids?

Steve Jobs wouldn’t, and for good reason too.

In a Sunday article, New York Times reporter Nick Bilton said he once assumingly asked Jobs, “So your kids must love the iPad?”

Jobs responded: “They haven’t used it. We limit how much technology our kids use at home.”

Especially in Silicon Valley, there is actually a trend of tech execs and engineers who shield their kids from technology. They even send their kids to non-tech schools like the Waldorf School in Los Altos, where computers aren’t found anywhere because they only focus on hands-on learning.

There is a quote that was highlighted in The Times by Chris Anderson, CEO of 3D Robotics and a father of five. He explains what drives those who work in tech to keep it from their kids.

“My kids accuse me and my wife of being fascists and overly concerned about tech, and they say that none of their friends have the same rules… That’s because we have seen the dangers of technology firsthand. I’ve seen it in myself, I don’t want to see that happen to my kids.”

If our current addictions to our iPhones and other tech is any indication, we may be setting up our children for incomplete, handicapped lives devoid of imagination, creativity and wonder when we hook them onto technology at an early age. We were the last generation to play outside precisely because we didn’t have smartphones and laptops. We learned from movement, hands-on interaction, and we absorbed information through books and socialization with other humans as opposed to a Google search.

Learning in different ways has helped us become more well-rounded individuals — so, should we be more worried that we are robbing our children of the ability to Snapchat and play “Candy Crush” all day if we don’t hand them a smartphone, or should we more worried that we would be robbing them of a healthier, less dependent development if we do hand them a smartphone? I think Steve Jobs had it right in regard to his kids.

So the next time you think about how you will raise your kids, you may want to (highly) consider not giving them whatever fancy tech we’ll have while they are growing up. Play outside with them and surround them with nature; they might hate you, but they will absolutely thank you for it later, because I’m willing to bet that’s exactly how many of us feel about it now that we are older.

An Ohio mom bought a pink "princess wand" for her 2-year-old daughter was shocked to later find it featured a disturbing image of a girl slitting her wrists with a knife.

Nicole Allen said she was shocked to strip back the foil on top of the flowery Dayton dollar store toy and discover the sinister picture.

"It's a picture of a girl slitting her wrists. I'm outraged over it," she told WHIO.

"I want to know how they think that is suitable for a child. There was Barbie dolls on one side and baby toys on the other side, and these were right in the middle," Allen added.

As well as the sickening picture, the toy also features a "cackling" laugh, making it even more terrifying for toddlers, according to WLWT5.

"You don't want to think about little girls picking that up and thinking this is normal, or funny, or interesting, or any of those things," added local Tina Musgrove.

But store owner Amar Moustafa played down the incident by saying that the item was clearly named as an "Evil Stick."

"So from the name, if I was buying it for my kid, I would inspect it before I gave it to them," he told WHIO.

Moustafa added that he would remove the wands from the shelves if he received any more complaints, reports FOX 46.

These calendar pages come from the rare book Calendrier Magique, which was printed in France in 1895 in a small run of 777 copies. The book blends Art Nouveau imagery with references to occult ceremonies, horoscopes, and tarot.

The larger images in the calendar are by Manuel Orazi, an Italian lithographer working in Paris who produced art for stage posters, books, and theatre sets. (His portrait of the actress Sarah Bernhardt, viewable here on the Art Appreciation Blog, is a thing of beauty.) The calendar is marked by the Art Nouveau illustrator’s love for the flowing, abundant, tangled look of natural objects.

Count Austin de Croze, who compiled the text for the calendar, was a folklorist who wrote on French foodways, cataloging regional specialties and traditional dishes. Did de Croze believe in the magical ideas that he collected in this calendar? Probably not. “The document is at once a spoof and an attempt to chart the year of magic,” writes the curators of Cornell’s web exhibit “The Fantastic in Art and Fiction” (where you can see all of the pages of the calendar).

“The Devil is only the symbol of Evil, as God is the symbol of Good,” de Croze writes in a signed statement on the book’s last page, lending credence to the idea that the book was meant to serve as an anthropological curiosity and a work of art, rather than a sincere handbook for occult practice.

This book is on display at Indiana University’s Lilly Library, as part of the exhibition “Spiritualists, Sorcerers, and Stage Magicians: Magic and the Supernatural at the Lilly Library,” through August 30. Click on the images below to reach larger versions.

If you’re a conspiracy theorist, then you’re crazy, right? That’s been the common belief for years, but recent studies prove that just the opposite is true.

Researchers — psychologists and social scientists, mostly — in the U.S. and United Kingdom say data indicate that, contrary to those mainstream media stereotypes, “conspiracy theorists” appear to be more sane than people who accept official versions of controversial and contested events.

The most recent study was published in July 2013 by psychologists Michael J. Wood and Karen M. Douglas of the University of Kent in the UK. Entitled “‘What about Building 7?’ A Social Psychological Study of Online Discussion of 9/11 Conspiracy Theories,” the study compared “conspiracist,” or pro-conspiracy theory, and “conventionalist,” or anti-conspiracy, comments on news websites.

The researchers noted that they were surprised to find that it is now more conventional to leave so-called conspiracist comments than conventional ones.



“Of the 2174 comments collected, 1459 were coded as conspiracist and 715 as conventionalist,” the researchers wrote.

‘The research showed that people who favored the official account of 9/11 were generally more hostile’

So, among people who comment on news articles, those who discount official government accounts of events like the 9/11 attacks and the assassination of John F. Kennedy outnumber believers by more than two-to-one. That means the pro-conspiracy commenters are those who are now expressing what is considered conventional wisdom, while the anti-conspiracy commenters represent a small, beleaguered minority that is often scoffed at and shunned.

Perhaps becoming frustrated that their alleged mainstream viewpoints are no longer considered as such by the majority, those who are anti-conspiracy commenters often showed anger and disgust in their posts.

“The research… showed that people who favoured the official account of 9/11 were generally more hostile when trying topersuade their rivals,” said the study.
Also, it seems that those who do not believe in the conspiracies were not just hostile but fanatically attached to their own conspiracy theories as well. The researchers said that, according to the anti-conspiracy holders, their own theory of 9/11 — one which says 19 Muslims, none of whom could fly commercial airliners with any proficiency, pulled off an amazing surprise attack under the direction of a man on dialysis (Osama bin Laden) who was living in a cave somewhere in Afghanistan — is unwaveringly true.

Meanwhile, “conspiracists,” on the hand, did not have to pretend to have a theory that completely explained the events of 9/11. “For people who think 9/11 was a government conspiracy, the focus is not on promoting a specific rival theory, but in trying to debunk the official account,” the researchers said.

In short, the new study by Wood and Douglas suggests that the negative stereotype of the conspiracy theorist — a hostile fanatic wedded to the truth of his own fringe theory — accurately describes the people who defend the official account of 9/11, not those who dispute it.

 
A conspiracy theory about a conspiracy theory

The study also found that conspiracy believers discuss historical context, like viewing the JFK assassination as a precedent for 9/11, more than the antis. It also found that conspiracy believers do not like to be labeled as such.

These and other findings are contained in a new book, Conspiracy Theory in America, by political scientist Lance deHaven-Smith, which was published last year by the University of Texas Press. He explained why people don’t like to be labeled as “conspiracy theorists.”

“The CIA’s campaign to popularize the term ‘conspiracy theory’ and make conspiracy belief a target of ridicule and hostility must be credited, unfortunately, with being one of the most successful propaganda initiatives of all time,” he said.

He further noted that, essentially, those who use the term as an insult are doing so as the result of a well-documented, undisputed and historically accurate conspiracy by the CIA to cover up the JFK assassination.
