Some people will literally do anything to become famous. We've all heard stories of so-called "blood sacrifices" made by some alleged members of the Illuminati to advance their careers.

Popular musicians, such as Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Rihanna, are often spoken in the same breath as the Illuminati – there are some people that believe the secret society is at the center of their prosperous careers. However, the rumors and alleged connection between the Illuminati and the entertainment industry have reached new heights in regards to the criminal case against an aspiring rapper from Virginia named Wafeeq Sabir El-Amin. El-Amin actually shot a friend because he believed it would gain him entry into the organization and advance his rap career.

In an attempt to join the Illuminati and achieve fame, El-Amin allegedly shot his friend after a night spent smoking marijuana on December 26, 2012 inside of a home that was in the process of being converted into a music studio. His friend recalls falling asleep and then waking up to a gun. A bullet entered the friend's hand causing skin and bone fragments to enter his eye. Although he was injured, he managed to get the gun out of El-Amin's hands and shoot him in the stomach.

When El-Amin recently attended a court hearing, he was denied bond, and is scheduled to appear in a two-day trial in June. Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney Thomas L. Johnson noted that El-Amin had become obsessed with the Illuminati and truly believed that there was a link between hip-hop and the secret society. In El-Amin's mind, he believed that a 'sacrifice' was expected of people that wished to join the ranks of the Illuminati. Johnson went on to say that El-Amin believed the Illuminati controlled the careers of popular hip-hop musicians, and that they were the key to success.

Johnson also stated that before El-Amin shot his friend, he supposedly exclaimed, "You are my sacrifice."

During a police search of the studio located in Henrico County (which is outside of Richmond, Virginia), a pound of marijuana and a great deal of literature on the Illuminati was uncovered. As more information regarding the 27 year old man who became obsessed with the Illuminati started to emerge in court, the judge listened as an attorney highlighted a book that spoke of the role of the Illuminati in the hip-hop industry, and how El-Amin believed there was a connection between the secret society and rapper 50-Cent's career.

The charges against El-Amin included malicious wounding, marijuana possession, possession and intent to distribute marijuana and a gun charge. Claiming that he was under the effects of heavy marijuana use, El-Amin says that he does not remember the shooting taking place or anything else that may have occurred in the month of December. Before this incident, El-Amin had never been charged with any criminal activity, so this is reportedly his first offence.

While the incident involving El-Amin and his friend isn’t a common occurrence, the concept that sacrifices are a part of becoming a member of the Illuminati is nothing new.

Legend has it that sacrifices play a role in the spirituality of the society – whether it involves a human or an animal. There is a huge difference between a real, live sacrifice of the physical body and one that deals with the spirituality of a being. Certain branches of spiritual groups believe that power passes at the moment between life and death. There are rumors of animal sacrifices taking place so that one can gain possession of the power from a departing spirit – believing that it will enter an individual at the point of death. Some say animals are bled to death over a being to achieve this goal.
