Disturbing news has just spread across the country as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning about an estimated one million pounds of rat meat that is being sold as “boneless chicken wings” in restaurants and grocery stores all over America.
Recent reports reveal that FDA inspectors have launches a close investigation after customs officers at the Port of San Francisco seized several illegal shipping containers from China that were carrying rat meat. According to one report, the authorities have already taken hold of hundreds of thousands of pounds of this illegal meat, and are going to destroy it accordingly.
The reports also reveal that this rat meat was meant to be shipped to different meat processing plants across America and resold as chicken.
Although FDA is doing everything in their power to remove this meat from the market, they are still warning of additional 1,000,000 pounds of the counterfeit rat meat to be in circulation.
