A lot of conspiracy theories revolved around CERN. And just when you thought it is over, think twice. A video that shows an “operatic sci-fi” dance performance at CERN sparks online discussions. The performance was made for a film project which shows what appears to be a group of dancers performing the Shiva “Dance of Destruction” around the Large Hadron Collider.
A CERN physicist, hard at work using the LHC to search for the smallest particle in existence , when a ghostly woman played by soprano Claron McFadden appears, asking him if he loves the particle more than he loves himself, and, if he could, would he become one with the particle. As Lukas increasingly tries to focus on his work, Claron’s message becomes more insistent, as she carries him through time in search of answers — tearing him away from the timelessness of physics and pointing him towards the timelessness of love and music. - symmetry
In the promotional video, it is clear to see that the dancers are just doing the dance for entertainment purposes. But according to conspiracy theories, the performance was actually a ritualistic dance which resembles the Shiva Dance. The SHIVA Dance is also known as the Dance of Destruction. The intriguing performance was filmed just one week ahead of the firing up of the particle accelerator.
