Health and safety experts spent years telling people to keep children away from plastic bags for fear of suffocation.
So it’s more than a little alarming to see youngsters from a village in Vietnam being entirely enclosed in one to get to and from school.
This astonishing video shows schoolchildren being wrapped in plastic bags to cross a swollen, fast-flowing stream during flood season.
One by one they climb inside, have the air supply cut off, and are pulled from one bank to the other, emerging on the other side completely dry.
It’s not just the pupils who take advantage of this unorthodox mode of transportation – a teacher is also seen climbing into a bag to cross the Nam Po in north east Vietnam.
Do NOT try this at home, kids.
